The Baby Gift Company is 'OPEN' for business. We continue to fulfil online orders and operate as normal. At The Baby Gift Company serving the needs of our customers and their health & safety remains our highest priority.
We are OPEN for business and will continue our normal trading hours. Delivery of our baby gifts will also continue within the timeframes outlined below. We would however ask customers to reconsider Hospital deliveries and recommend sending to home addresses to avoid delays.
We are monitoring all of the latest developments and taking the necessary precautions, such as increasing quality control and hygiene measures within our packing and dispatch teams.
Australia Delivery Timings & Charges
Delivery timings includes the following factors; order processing, gift selection, packaging, transport and handling. We don’t guarantee delivery times, but we do our best to provide accurate estimates.
The prices and timings below are based on gift boxes ORDERED BEFORE 2.00PM AEST. As we use external couriers we cannot guarantee a specific delivery day or time.
Delivery time frames are based on Business working days (i.e. Monday to Friday) - our couriers DO NOT DELIVER on Weekends or Public Holidays.

Important Delivery Information
- $10.95 delivery charge applies to addresses in Australia only
- Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays, from our Melbourne warehouse.
- Due to Covid -19, Our delivery partners Australia Post and StarTrack Couriers are taking measures to protect their staff and customers and have made adjustments to the way they carry out deliveries. We are not delivering to PO Box addresses and A signature will no longer be required for a delivery or post office collection, instead the delivery driver will ask for the receivers name and sign on their behalf. If no one is home to accept the delivery, and authority to leave has been given, the parcel will be left in a safe place at the premises.
- A $16.50 re-delivery fee will be charged if an incorrect delivery address is provided or if the recipient has been discharged from hospital upon delivery. Please note turn around times may take up to 5 days due to the processing systems of Startrack/Australia Post.
- If the recipient is not home and there is a suitable place to leave the gift, the courier will leave the parcel at their property.
- If you have any special delivery instructions such as where the parcel can be left safely, then please inform us in the ‘Special Instruction’ box during your order checkout process or you may send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
- Customers must ensure they provide us with the correct delivery address. The Baby Gift Company will not be held responsible for the cost of lost parcels due to the supply of incorrect or insufficient addresses.
- Courier deliveries to metro areas in Australia are normally made next day however we estimate 1-2 working days in case of flight delays. For delivery addresses in regional or remote areas please allow an additional 2-3 business working days.
- Requests for delivery on specific days cannot be guaranteed, however we always try our best to aim for delivery on the requested date. Again you can mention these requests in the ‘Special Instruction’ box during your order checkout process.
- Change of Address: If the parcel is still in transit we will contact the courier and arrange for a re-direction of the parcel. This may incur an additional $16.50 delivery fee, and redirection can take up to three business days. If the parcel is on board for delivery, we will not be able to intercept the delivery.
- Hospital Deliveries: We would ask customers to reconsider Hospital deliveries and recommend sending to home addresses to avoid delays. Please be certain that the gift recipient will still be in hospital during the time frames stated above. If possible, please provide us with the mother’s full name, room number, and ward. If the recipient is discharged on the scheduled day for delivery a re-direction fee to her home may be charged to you. Therefore, If you are not sure how long mother and baby will be staying in hospital we recommend you address the gift box to their home address instead. Please note that we do not send gifts to the following hospitals - John Hunter Hospital, Lookout Rd, New Lambton Heights NSW 2305 and Mercy Hospital 163 Studley Rd, Heidelberg VIC 3084.
- Same-Day Delivery for Melbourne South East (not currently available): The same-day option will be displayed on the cart page, simply click the 'calculate' link. Prior to checkout, please check if same-day is available to your delivery postcode. Orders placed before 11.30am AEST Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) will be delivered on the same day. Orders placed after 11.30am AEST or on a weekend will be delivered on the following business day. Same-day Melbourne delivery is not available to PO Box addresses. The same-day service is not available for gift boxes with free delivery.
Overseas International Deliveries
Please Note - We are not delivering gift boxes overseas at this time.
Current customs restrictions have made it difficult for us to send our gifts overseas, therefore for this reason, we have decided to only offer deliveries within Australia.
